The Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Ltd. was renamed ECGC Ltd. in 1957 with the intention of promoting exports from the country by providing credit risk insurance and related services for exports.
It offers a range of credit risk insurance covers to the Indian exporters against the loss with regard to the export of their goods and services. Export Credit Insurance is provided by the banks and other financial institutions to let exporters find enhanced services from them. ECGC is something that has a major role to play in the export industry, for the ease of working for the exporters.
